Annotations: Tufted growth with stiff, erect leaves to 2.5 m., arching out at the tip, closely imbricated at the base, cream, yellow mid-green above, paler beneath, shallowly folded. M-shaped in T.S.; infl. to 45 cm., with coffee-brown sheathing bracts at base & in bud at apex; rhachis olive to mid-green, except cream near the base; fruits dull, pale apricot
