WoRMS featured in 'The Conversation UK': How many undiscovered creatures are there in the ocean?

The sea remains the least explored habitat on our blue planet. But through WoRMS we know that more than 242,500 species have already been described...
In light of the 10th birthday of WoRMS, several communication actions are planned, amongst others a general article in The Conversation UK, an online, independent, not-for-profit media outlet that uses content sourced from the academic and research community.
The lead for this article was taken by the WoRMS Chair & Co-chair Tammy Horton & Andreas Kroh and was supported by the WoRMS Data Management Team. But the merit for supporting and maintaining WoRMS goes to all the involved editors, who work closely together to keep WoRMS up-to-date.
